Learning Objectives
- Outline the methodology used to develop the recommendations of the 4th edition of the European Code Against Cancer.
- Understand how scientific evidence is evaluated and used, and identify the authoritative sources of evidence used to update the 4th edition of the European Code Against Cancer.
- Understand what is meant by a “modifiable risk factor”, and the “population attributable fraction” or PAF.
- Distinguish between hazard and risk and give examples.
