Learning Objectives

  • Recognize what are the relevant chemical cancer-causing substances in the workplace and in the general environment in the world and the European Union (EU).
  • Cite the attributable fraction of cancer due to occupations and work-related carcinogenic agents in the EU.
  • Describe the available measures to reduce exposure to chemical cancer-causing substances in the workplace.
  • Outline the available and effective interventions and policies on occupational safety.
