- Recognize why second-hand smoke is a cause of preventable illness and death and a cause of cancer in the world and the European Union (EU).
- Cite the attributable fraction of lung cancer due to second-hand smoke in the EU.
- Describe the evidence on the benefits of smoke-free environments.
- Outline the available and effective interventions/policies around smoke-free environments (e.g. WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control).
